The BMU in this project is a T-machine running on an elevated track, featuring a 4m telescopic cradle and it has a GRU capacity of 250 kg. The tracks for the machine are installed on steel upstands and clear a high parapet wall. The 29 m telescoping jib allows the machine to serve the whole building effectively. The machine weight is 30 tons and the working height is about 155m.
There was significant engineering for the restraint sockets, resulting in about 2000 sockets, divided into about 6 types. Aesthetic and safety considerations were top priority, in line with the architect’s demands and EN1808:2015.
